Push-ups at Stop Lead to Tulsa Police Lawsuit

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Two Tulsa police officers are facing a federal civil rights by a man who claims he was forced to do push-ups along a roadside after an officer searched his vehicle.

Court papers show 24-year-old Brian Lumpkin filed suit on Friday against Tulsa police Officers James Bohanon and Kevin Warne.

The suit alleges the officers were conducting drug surveillance on a house when Lumpkin was stopped. The lawsuit alleges Bohanon conducted an illegal search of his vehicle and found no drugs.

Suspect in Motel Stand-Off Dead, Police Say Self Inflicted Wound

Tulsa Police surround the Days Inn Hotel at I-244 and Sheridan

The Days Inn Hotel at I-244 and North Sheridan was the scene this morning of a Police stand-off with a Tulsa homicide suspect.

Police cornered Eliboreo Carrillo  in one of the rooms. Other guests at the hotel were evacuated. 

Carrillo was wanted for the murder of his ex-wife’s boyfriend last night in Tulsa. The area around the hotel was sealed off from about 1:30 this morning till around 10AM.

Son Arrested in Mom's Tulsa Murder

20-year old William Stick is accused of his mother's death.

A Tulsa man is arrested after his mother is found stabbed to death on her porch near the Fairgrounds.  Police say 43-year-old Veronica Stick was found at her home in the 3900 block of East 24th Street on Friday afternoon. The discovery was made about 3:15PM.

Officials located her son, several miles away, and took him to police headquarters for questioning. While no motive is known, 20-year-old William Stick was arrested on a complaint of First Degree Murder. He is being held in the Tulsa Jail.

2 Die in Early Morning Motorcycle Crash in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say two people are dead after a motorcycle crash in east Tulsa early Thursday morning.

Tulsa police say the crash happened at about 2 a.m. in the Regency Park subdivision. Authorities say the motorcycle was likely traveling too fast when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road and crashed into two parked cars in a driveway.

Police say the man driving the motorcycle was killed instantly. His female passenger died later Thursday.

Authorities say neither person was wearing a helmet.
