OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — State health officials report that the number of deaths and hospitalizations because of the flu are down in Oklahoma thus far in 2012.
The State Department of Health reports there have been two deaths and 114 other cases of people hospitalized due to the flu through March 3 — the latest date the information is available.
The department's website says there were 786 combined hospitalizations and deaths during the same time frame in 2011 with about two dozen of those cases being deaths.
