OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Longtime state and federal prosecutor Rob Wallace has defeated Muskogee seed seller Wayne Herriman for the Democratic Party nomination in Oklahoma's 2nd Congressional District.
Wallace will try to keep the seat in Democratic hands this fall against a Republican nominee also selected Tuesday. Congressman Dan Boren announced last year he wouldn't seek re-election.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Republican National Convention will have a distinct Oklahoma flavor, with both Gov. Mary Fallin and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett scheduled to speak.
Party officials announced Monday that Cornett is expected to address the convention in Tampa, Fla., at about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. Fallin is scheduled to speak between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Four men running for the state's only open congressional seat are making their final pitches to voters across eastern Oklahoma's sprawling 2nd District, encouraging voters to head to the polls for what is typically a low-turnout affair.
Two Republicans and two Democrats both square off in separate primary runoffs Tuesday in the race to replace the only Democrat in Oklahoma's congressional delegation, retiring U.S. Rep. Dan Boren, who decided not to seek a fifth term in office.
