Sallisaw, OK – SALLISAW, Okla. (AP) The economy of the eastern Oklahoma town of Sallisaw has taken a hit in the months since Blue Ribbon Downs closed in November. City Manager Bill Baker says Sallisaw saw a 10 percent drop in sales tax revenue for this past December to May when compared to the average revenue for the same period from the two previous fiscal years.
