Remodeling on hold

Tulsa, OK – Remodeling is being placed on hold at the Police Headquarters. The work was started in the chief's section but became under fire following police officer lay-offs.

The work stopped yesterday following a critical editorial in the Tulsa World.

The department was using forfeiture funds to pay for the work. Under law, those funds cannot be used for salary expenses.
