Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma City - Gov. Brad Henry today made two appointments to the 14th Judicial District in Tulsa County. The Governor appointed Carlos Chappelle to Office 6 and Kurt G. Glassco to Office 14.

Gov. Henry said he is certain both appointees will be outstanding jurists.

"It is my privilege to appoint to the bench people of such tremendous experience and abilities," he said.

Tulsa, OK – (Tulsa, OK) Limited amounts of H1N1 vaccine continue to arrive in Tulsa. Unfortunately at this time, there is not a large enough supply to make H1N1 vaccine available to the general public. The federal government has ordered 250 million doses of H1N1 flu vaccine which means that essentially anyone who wishes to receive the vaccine will eventually be able to do so.

Tulsa, OK – Home plate was air-lifted, via a helicopter, from the old Driller's Stadium at the Tulsa fairgrounds to the new Oneok Field in downtown Tulsa this afternoon.

On hand to help set the plate were Mayor Taylor, Drillers' owner Chuck Lamson, Tulsa Stadium Trust Chairman Stan Lybarger and Chamber of Commerce President Mike Neal.

The Drillers will play their first game at the new stadium in April of next year.

Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa City Council will meet in a special session on Tuesday. The lawmakers will be discussing ways to save the city money.

With sales tax revenue shortages growing, the city is looking at a five-to-six million dollar shortfall. That will mean additions cuts and possible lay-offs and more furlough days for city workers. Workers are already off eight days this budget year with out pay.

The special session begins at 11:30 tomorrow morning. KWGS News will be there.

Oklahoma City, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) About a dozen Pardon and Parole Board employees are protesting at the state Capitol after receiving their third furlough day in as many months.

The employees held signs on the south lawn of the Capitol on Monday and waved to passing motorists.

The entire agency, which employs about 35 workers, was shut down on Monday and a recorded message at the agency headquarters said the office was closed due to state budget cuts.
