Spring 2008 Fund Drive Quietly Continues

Thank you for keeping public radio news, information, and music on the northeastern Oklahoma airwaves!

Over the past few weeks, more than 1,600 listeners of Public Radio 89.5 and Classical 88.7 have become members of the Public Radio Tulsa family or renewed their memberships. We're very close to reaching our Spring Fund Drive goal.

We're asking you to join these contributors to keep quality commercial-free public radio on the northeastern Oklahoma airwaves. Our goal is $175,000, which will cover half of our yearly programming fees from NPR and our other national programmers.

Please take a moment to contribute by clicking the "Contribute Now" button. If you'd like, choose one of the three thank you gifts available for a contribution of $89 or $120.

At the present time, Public Radio Tulsa HD Radio coverage is limited to the Tulsa metropolitan area and nearby cities: Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Glenpool, Jenks, Bixby, Broken Arrow, Coweta, Wagoner, Inola, Catoosa, Claremore, Owasso, and Sperry. You may need to move the radio around and adjust the antenna to lock onto the signal. An outside antenna in outlying areas may be needed for solid reception. We anticipate that the FCC will allow HD Radio stations to increase transmitting power in the future to reach our entire coverage area.
