Guthrie Green, a new park located at the corner of Boston Avenue and Brady Street --- in the heart of Tulsa's increasingly thriving Brady Arts District --- opens today, Friday the 7th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3pm. The long closed facilities will be demolished because the upkeep has outstripped the property&rsquo;s worth. The centers are: Clark, Franklin, Heller, Manion, Maxwell, Turner and Zeigler.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Mayor Bartlett says the centers will be replaced with other park amenities, such as splash pads, pavilions, walking trails, benches and security lighting.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Most of the centers also have swimming pools which will also be filled.</p> Tue, 29 May 2012 15:17:13 +0000 KWGS News 19506 at http://kwgs.org Closed Rec Centers to be Demolished next Month
